The organization seeks to play an important role in the lives of artists — providing them with a network to other artists, business opportunities and promotional material. By uniting in this way, the entire group serves to advocate the interests of the art community to Covington City Hall and the surrounding community.
The Covington Art Merchants meet at least quarterly (sometimes more often).
There are three categories of membership:
1. Active Membership: for those artists, gallery owners and art related businesses who live and/or work in Covington, KY 2. Associate Membership: for artists, gallery owners and art related businesses who live and work outside of Covington. Associate membership is also for all non-profit organizations. 3. Patron Membership: for those who want to support the mission of the Covington Art Merchants but do not fit into the other membership categories
Mission Statement: The Covington Art Merchants, Inc. seeks to expand and protect the economic interests of the arts, artists, musicians, writers and art related businesses within the City of Covington, Kentucky, through education, marketing, advocacy and promotion of the highest professional standards.
